In December 2007, the Victorian Government announced that eleven new schools in the growing communities of Melbourne would be delivered through a public private partnership arrangement.
The schools will also be leading examples of ecological
sustainability, with wetlands in all schools to retain and reuse water and a range of other utility
conservation measures.
This extensive project included five primary schools, two early learning centres, four child care centres and one aquatic centre of which J.Z. Lee was commissioned to the internal fitout.
